Who We Are

Pivot Prosthetics and Orthotics was founded in Gillette with a simple goal: provide the kind of prosthetic and orthotic care we would want for our own family.

Our Gillette clinic provides comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care for patients throughout northeast Wyoming and the surrounding region.

Because we're independently owned, we're able to focus on the individual sitting in front of us. We take the time to solve difficult problems, explore new technology, make adjustments, and find solutions that fit the patient's actual life.

Services available in Gillette

Our Gillette clinic provides:

  • Upper limb prosthetics

  • Lower limb prosthetics

  • Custom orthotics and bracing

  • Custom foot orthotics

  • Pediatric prosthetics and orthotics

  • Post-operative bracing

  • Mastectomy care

From a child's first brace to a highly advanced prosthetic system, our goal is the same: provide excellent care and treat people well.

🐾 Meet Gomer — our clinic dog at Pivot.

Gomer has quickly become a pretty special part of what we do at Pivot Prosthetics & Orthotics

Gomer seems to understand that his job starts with simply meeting people where they are. If invited in, he’ll calmly walk into the room, greet the patient, and settle in beside them.

Prosthetic appointments can sometimes be long. There can be a lot of measuring, fitting, adjusting, standing, walking, and waiting. Gomer brings a calm presence into the room through all of it. He’s perfectly happy to sit next to a patient and be petted—or, when an appointment gets particularly long, demonstrate his expertise in relaxation by taking a nap. 😂

There’s actually some science behind what our patients seem to experience with him. Research on animal-assisted interventions has found that interacting with dogs can reduce anxiety and perceived stress, and some studies have measured decreases in heart rate and respiratory rate along with improvements in comfort and well-being. In other words, a calm dog can help create an environment where people simply feel a little more at ease.

And that matters to us.
